Ikea pulls cakes after bacteria found

they found some elevated levels of coliform bacteria - that's all - not a problem - eat the cake?

While coliforms themselves are not normally causes of serious illness, they are easy to culture and their presence is used to indicate that other pathogenic organisms of fecal origin may be present. Fecal pathogens include bacteria, viruses, or protozoa and many multicellular parasites.

So, they are telling us that they found indicators of 'shit' - the cakes contain merde particles.
which is no problem, but they are recalling some stock - until the shite level indicators return to within normal parameters.

i wonder if it was horse shit? it would be a coincidence would it not? - horse meat in the meatballs, horse shit in the cake. It is a good thing Ikea does not make beer.

I imagine some Permaculture maniac has control of Ikea's purchasing department and is insistent upon complete horse utility.....

Makes you think doesn't it - how many household items COULD you fashion out of a horse? A cot built from bones? Leather lounges of course. A lamp from the skull bone perhaps. Get it into a flash design magazine and it could end up being the new trend for 2013!
