    Re: World Fascism

As the brainwashing continues, and as the last remaining vestiges of free thought are chained to the gallows of corporate control, we fail to see that we have become a mere pawn to the system, an army of worker bees and soldier ants, one cog in a giant engine, exploited for our energy and our existence, a part easily replaceable, easily discarded, easily abandoned. Through the devastating dumbing-down mechanisms of television, along with the abandonment of education and the comfort of American middle class life, the Establishment is assured of a population acquiescent and pacified, remaining silent in times of disquieting conundrums, made merry by the plethora of bread and circus emanating throughout the land.

Americans have a short attention span. That’s why most commercials last 15-30 seconds. That’s all that’s required – that plus constant repetition.

The message must be designed in such a way that it appeals to or is quickly understood by the lowest common intellectual denominator of the collective. This is not only true because of the vast ignorance of the masses, but also because the collective attention span is virtually nonexistent. We now live in a world of sound-bite discourse. The simple lie always conquers the complex truth.

"The ruling elite can, through clandestine programming and seemingly innocuous entertainment, influence the way millions of minds think, invariably transforming free thought into shackled reasoning."

Yesterday in the Bush apology for his reign, he said...Only the elite would consider the Bush legacy to have damaged Americas moral standing in the world. The people of the world still know that America still stands for freedom and democracy.

    Wow. Wow.

"We're going to be seeing a lot more of this," as it's part of the "legacy project." In October, the Washington Post reported that federal agencies were asked to start documenting "the Bush record" of "accomplishments over the past eight years."

For the first time in human history, there is a concerted strategy to manipulate global perception. And the mass media are operating as its compliant assistants, failing both to resist it and to expose it.

    Re: World Fascism

Barack Obama has been sworn in as the 44th US president. Here is his corrected inauguration speech in full.

    My fallen citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed on my dashing personage, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for allowing me to serve his kingdom, as well as the generosity and co-operation he has shown throughout this changing of the guard of the New World Order.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath to screw the people. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. Periods when the mighty have once again stolen from the poor in order to weaken them and build the resentment needed for resource wars of aggression on route to world domination.

At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the people, have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents. Despite having not uttered a peep on having all ones 1787 human rights undermined and having the economy and youth sucked dry undergoing illegal wars and generally making a global darn nuisance of ourselves.

That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood because of our excellent brainwashing techniques. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network imaginary demons concocted in order to install fear in the ignorant masses. Our economy is deliberately badly weakened to insure that economic hardship will mean people will sell their souls for a dollar and a promise of collective glory in belonging to the most greedy violent nation on earth. The bankers have ensured that homes and property is now in Morgan Chases hands; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is corrupt; our schools offer good brainwashing; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy costs us a lot of blood and tax dollars, while filling the coffers of Texas oil men and their buddies.

As civilization falls around our ears, as all civilizations must, we are offering you a vain hope in order to shut you up, while we continue our chaos magic of conflict and discord.

These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a slagging loss of arrogance across our land - a nagging fear that America's decline is self created, and that the next generation must give up a few inches of flat screen TV and settle for last months fashions. You may even have to forgo that new model cell phone.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real because we say they are. They are serious and they are many with government being the foremost and most incidious. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time unless you rise up in revolution and claim justice and freedom. But know this, America - they will be met…the challenges I mean, and we-the-people being the hardest challenge—to dumb you guys down and keep you quiet as you fund our wargames

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances so we can concentrate on the big game and the end game. So we offer false promises, recriminations and worn out dogmas, that forever strangled our politics.

We remain a young nation with worn out soils, but in the words of scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness within the confines of their imagination, while they slave like dogs for a living wage that doesn’t cover the cost of living.

In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is earned by how many atom bombs and boy soldiers a nation has. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less, we blast through and enforce our will at all costs. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who work like slaves and keep quiet at the wheel.

For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life to get away from fascist dictators. Only to find the motherload of fascist dictatorship underpins the entire occult Americana experiment arising out of Nazi Germany.

For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and ploughed the hard earth and left it barren and vulnerable to Monsanto’s mafiosa hegemony.

Ok, thats enough. Thats all you are going to get from me
Its your frecking duty to feed our fantasies, so shape up and stop complaining.
I am going to play with my poodle in the Oval office until you guys give up all your gold and silver and tighten your belts some more, you are too fat anyway!. So there :takeabow:

Jana is this conversation with yourself really relevant to these forums?
How about buying a soap box and moving to the nearest Park.?

Hmmm 12980 views is not merely a conversation with myself. If perma-culture is the answer to material corporate-military fascism and the exploitive economy, the exploitive mode of being...then it is going to have to propose governmental systems beyond those of the carrot patch.

    Re: World Fascism

I'm with Michaelangelica and PPP. Jana, why don't you move somewhere else, perhaps Canada, if you are so disenchanted with your own country? I think Barak Obama is worthy of our hope, and if his inauguration speech was a let-down after the 'yes we can' speech, well then, most would be. I'll wait to reserve my judgement on him for perhaps 18m. In the meantime, even world troubles such as we have now are better with hope and optimism and a good attitude than with vitriol and cynicism like this. T

    Re: World Fascism

One of the reasons Jana may have umpteen gazillions of hits is simply the title "world fascism", if "Hypothetical Energy Sources and Political Discontent" was used as a title then you may find fewer hits - at the end of the day has there been a good American President in the last 40 years or so? Nixon destroyed health care, Reygan/Raygun was into nuclear proliferation, Bushes "war on whatever" and double the deficit. Lets just wait and see which companies paid for Obama's campaign, -gun lobby, toxic waste disposal, cigarettes, lockheed and martin, billion dollar private hospitals, American car industry????? how can all these donations and promises represent the people? - they only serve themselves.
America is not a democracy - it's a capitalist advertisment. Get over it!

    Change we can believe in!

First, Tice's description of the program confirms everything we have surmised about the program. The program:
    * Established the means to collect all American communications
    * Analyzed meta-data to select a smaller subset of communications to tap further
    * Conducted human analysis of those messages
    https://emptywheel.firedoglake.com/2009/ ... p-program/

we should probably keep our posts limited to approved slogans.

    Re: World Fascism

If we kept it all "1984" i don't think you would get any hits - then what would be the point in posting (disregarding the fact that half of it doesn't make sense). Mind you i will be slowly removing personal information from my profile(s) over the next 5-10 years.

    Re: World Fascism

To a certain extent, when we are talking about the ocean of culture, it is pointless being paranoid about the nature of exploitive capitalism...because it is in the air we breath. Instead we should work on getting healthy and whole and figuring out our part in the cultural transformation.

Check out Steve Willner and synchromysticism on youtube...for a post conspiracy philosophy...his art is good to become symbol savy. Daniel Pinchbeck's site realitysandwich.com for progressive articles.

    Re: World Fascism

It is inevitable that sometimes our governments will let us down.

It will be ordinary people that will make the changes at the grass roots level long before governments get in on the act. There are already positive signs that communities are getting together to make community gardens, social networks of like-minds and people are turning away from the 'greed' factor.

We can become victims or we can do what we can as individuals to make the socities we live in a better place. Even if we cannot change the world as one individual we might have some effect as a growing silent majority merely by our actions.

Well done Pumpkin! That is definitely the best post in this thread. Actions not words. --

The battle has never been about good vs. evil, but about sustainability vs. evolution. And the only thing sustainable is evolution, [and hopefully human kindness]. Fear of change is a very powerful emotion. --------------> Gotta go water the seedlings in the greenhouse. Action not words.
