Experienced gardener needed for work exchange position at the Belize Foundation for Research and Environmental Education (BFREE), a field research station devoted to conservation, research, and education. BFREE is a non-profit organization located on 1153 acres nestled in the foothills of the Maya Mountains in southern Belize, Central America. Full-time position for 6 months to a year in exchange for room and board. Manage a 2-acre organic garden and orchard with over 50 varieties of fruit trees. Responsibilities include: bed design and preparation, starting seeds, weeding, composting, harvesting vegetables and fruits, and overseeing gardening interns.
