just a bit of comms lag - between me talking - and coffee and the odd scream to the weird purple light do you come here often?
Well that was a stupid thing to do wasn't it? 'Cause that has gone down as the most divine thing any bloke has ever said to me. Now you'll never get rid of me & I'll be thinking of you on my death bed. And you will know forevermore that "Weird Purple Light" = That crazy b!tch is thinking about me again! Thanks mate. I needed it too. The water & everything is getting a bit much - & a big heap more is on it's way ... sigh. Never rains but it pours & all that.
Lets just say Kimbo, that I am the universe. I suspect this is the case, or at the very least the universe is within me. Which means that you are just one little aspect of me. Given that it is all part of one thing you can't really separate yourself out. You're just another little bit. The herd may seem to be a bigger mass than the Kimbo-being, but really they are roughly the same size. Just too differing thoughts. I think the Kimbo-being might occupy more space in the non-physical aspect of the universe, a bit like an ice-berg. Whereas the the herd occupies a lot of physical space, like a boat floating on the surface, with not much substance in the non-physical. The liked is just a physical world thing, like and dislike don't really exist in the other dimensions. Or at least that's what I think. The herd may not like something, that is because the herd doesn't like itself. The individual doesn't like things because it doesn't like itself. Also I don't think there is any fundamental difference between being the entire universe, dark-matter and all, and being a rats arse. The weird purple light surely exists for both. When you die, you may find there is no death at all. I can't really hold the idea of death as something I will ever experience. I can comprehend the concepts of weird purple light and dark-matter and all sorts of stuff. But I can't really comprehend the state of being dead.
hi Grahame is this a gut feeling, or a path of reason (that i'm finding trouble getting on)....any chance you'd walk me through the reasoning here. i'm not convinced the Herd doesn't like itself. I guess it is theoretically possible for the Herd mind to reach this state - but i don't see it reflected in , well reality TV for instance. The Herd mind - i need to think on this more. When i spout criticism of the Herd psychology, and Herd mentality - then i must assume a Herd mind, but i don't quite get to that point - perhaps it is because the Herd mentality and psychology seems to be nothing more than the sum of individuals copying - which gives the illusion of an entity in its own right... we know that individuals are themselves made of communities - so i should not balk when the conversation suggests the Herd is in fact an entity, with a single mind, made of the sum of its communities. i balk because if it is a mind - it is one that won't be receptive to an individual any more than i am to concerns of gut flora. i don't like the level this puts me - how much glory can gut flora get? - the Herd Mind is not kind to refugees for example - and you reckon it is because it does not like itself? mmmm i get a warm and fuzzy feeling when i contemplate a Herd that does not like itself....i'll just hold that thought for a while . cheers,
i'm not convinced the Herd doesn't like itself. ? You're not? ? How often do your kids come out & visit you? (The ones that have escaped I mean.) Yep. About as often as mine. Watching mine deal with my place is fascinating. It freaks them out so badly you can see them decompensate before your very eyes. And yes, the one who loathes himself the most & is the most herded is the worst & has the most spectacular reactions. Followed by the the one who is pretty cool & hangs in there in a lopsided orbit till it's polite enough to leave (& not come back for ... oh about 3 years now). Lastly is the junior goddess, who actually gets it, & wants to be cool with it, & tries hard, but it always gets the better of her. After about 4 days she's itching to get away so she can start missing it again. They simply cannot stand the silence. They refuse to face themselves. They cannot function without the disguise of the busyness & the bustle & the flies & dust of the herd to hide behind. Awakening in silence to deal with a day of earth connection, & then going to bed in silence is more terrifying than living under the flight path in a bad neighbourhood in Sydney apparently. The herd projects it's fears onto anything different & proceeds to hate what it sees. That's why they hate refugees. The herd is horrified by their helplessness & vulnerability & need. Most humans will do anything to avoid facing their vulnerability & helplessness. Including letting others die in horrific circumstances - so long as they do it very quietly where we can't see or hear them. The herd loathes itself. It is in agony it loathes itself so much. Why do you think we consume so revoltingly? Consumption - the new god, replacing love, family, community, religion, culture, connection, joy & especially reality. Reality is to be avoided at all costs. NEVER be in the now is the mantra of the day.
In Solidarity god it feels so much better to hear someone else suffering the same shit - the lack of Filial Piety is astounding. when i discovered the term Filial Piety...i fairly shit - that's it! - i've got the lever ( i thought ) to get past the cultural programming of my gens y - i've attempted to convince them that they are truly the victims of some aberration of social evolution and an evolutionary dead end. i cite asia - in particular china - where Confucianism is part of the social psyche....and Confucianism upholds Filial Piety as a fundamental of rational self interest. the strategy seemed solid - try an instil an element of doubt about the smarts in being of the same mind as The Herd, sub Herd western capitalist pigs. I infer a disadvantage - then just fail totally to prove it. they can buy specialists for everything - consequently they enjoy a qualitative improvement beyond the reach of a cash strapped dissenter. i exit the argument painted into a corner - If i had more quid, maybe i could buy some Filial Piety....?
In some form, the Rothschilds seem to have fostered filial piety ... you're right, it must be a purchased commodity! ; )
In some parts of the world they execute people, and in others they"accidently "have collateral damage Can we have a long pig discussion here;???? They arnt willing to speak of such things on the US website Seing im as a taxpayer ,funding this butchery ; is it possible to get a return on my investment,,(
i'm intrigued...what is a long pig discusion? i just watched a re-run on the 6th International Perma. Convergence - so i'm fairly well up for anything. i only watched it to see if i was in it...once briefly. i remember it though....the beginning of the end. i only went there to get laid...young permaculture boy seeking perma girl for the usual organics. in spectacular form, in what would become one of the defining points of my permaculture career,,, i thought was making good ground with one quite nice piece,,her with that cute yank accent, and i was designing for our imminent encounter,,, when it comes out that she's actually with a bloke here. the same bloke who'd given me a problem come laundry day, when someone introduced me in the park just a few hours earlier - as one of 'his' designers. k
When WE kill people there is almost always leftovers The problem is alway!ys the solution! >I think permaculture always needs to see more of that unbridled sexual tension
Interesting reading about the herd certainly puts what i experience into context , relatives and friends from the city rarely visit and when they do they cant leave quick enough and i was always at a loss why , they love eating straight from the garden but none of them can even find the time to grow a single food plant . Yes they are frightened im sure the silence gets under their skin i guess they feel dreadfully exposed , this will be one giant hurdle for permaculture . Rob
Sorry bout inserting long pig in your family (herd discussion) ,but thought u folk were the best ones to speak to of such thoughts,It is a tribute to our freedom of speech in this forum that it is still up there! On the Herd thing Aldus Huxley discusses similar topics in his essay :'The Doors of perception' He suggests the eternal quest for bling might be driven by our search 4 divinity ,or answers in the stars
Hermits - a more enlightened society will be paying for them. The Herd ( my favourite topic ) The Herd are the masses of humans - effecting a copy cat existence - that when viewed at a distance - perform the great dances of societies. Societies are not in themselves at fault, they are after all just the social contract - and this is something of a necessity. It is what the Herd then do with societies, that I for one take issue with. The Group Think that just keeps thrashing the tired, old, often failed and argumentatively redundant patterns.,,or the same that ensure anything actually new, will be in the context of an increment that exists simply to increase market share. This is the era of the vast dumb masses - all doing a line of reason entrenched in the economic rational. It is a massive group think, it is the biggy. For the purpose of this chat, i reckon it is safe to say that anyone not actually playing the game is fleeing it. Profit is the essence of the scary thing. The Herd are trained to be responsive to profit. They are not trained en mass for service to a higher ideal. They speak TV, Their NEWS is the cross rates, and stock indexes. Most of what exists for them in their worlds exists for reasons of someone else's profit! poor bastards; it's not like they can just chose to be a hermit on a permacultured paradise is it? you know that it takes a certain sort of thinking. a certain power to over-ride the programming, to get control of the unit, and then to pilot that baby into agrarian bliss... you can't buy that. i can see myself as a life coach in the near future. " step away from the vending machine fatty , you can do it, back up rounder there's nothing for you there " - "see the shame you consumptive pig, feel the pain". You have the worth, you want the glory, you can let go - or you can be like everyone else - if your going to strive, then strive to be pure you...not some copy of what ever sells." ha! it is something that i love to do, and that I do without being paid for....i wait patiently for the justice of the universe to raise the demand for my services. such that i get paid to piss on the herd. which leads me to the reason for this post; the link below is to a TED talk. it highlights the value of dissension..... i go so far as to link this to the value of Hermits - and infer that by an economics measure and related to scarcity,,,,Hermits are worth more than than the Herd. https://www.ted.com/talks/margaret_heffernan_dare_to_disagree.html ps do any Hermits think an 'international day of the hermit' is a good idea? it would give us something extra we could boycott.
Some of the heard can hate me from a distance of over 100m! Loved the 96 convergence video! Particularly bill on feminisation . Anyone know where the next one is ? perhaps we could have a hermit convergence? Good to see u have some computer access now MITH!
Well my computer access is the same but I can watch shortish videos if I can put up with the buffering but it still chews through the data allowance because I only have pre-paid modem with an antennae/wi-fi set up at home. Instead of 200 gig on a plan in town for $50-70 /month with landline thrown in I have to buy about 8 gig for $80. Still better than the satellite deal I had before though!
pursuasive reasons to comply a bit of creative cut and paste. Cannibalism, not cooperation, was aligning the swarm. Couzin figured out an elegant proof for the theory: “You can cut the nerve in their abdomen that lets them feel bites from behind, and you completely remove their capacity to swarm,” he says. How Swarms Emerge Individuals in groups from neurons and cancer cells to birds and fish organize themselves into collectives, and those collectives move in predictable ways. But the ways those swarms, schools, flocks, and herds flip from chaos to order differ. Here’s a look at some of the behaviorial triggers. —Katie M. Palmer Golden Shiners Behavior: Seek darkness Presumably for protection, shiners search out dark waters. But they can’t actually perceive changes in light levels that might guide their way. Instead, they follow one simple directive: When light disappears, slow down. As a result, the fish in a school pile up in dark pools and stay put. Ants Behavior: Work in rhythm When ants of a certain species get crowded enough to bump into each other, coordinated waves of activity pulse through every 20 minutes. Humans Behavior: Be a follower Absent normal communication, humans can be as impressionable as a flock of sheep. If one member of a walking group is instructed to move toward a target, though other members may not know the target—or even that there is a target—the whole group will eventually be shepherded in its direction. Locusts Behavior: Cannibalism When enough locusts squeeze together, bites from behind send individuals fleeing to safety. Eventually they organize into conga-line-like clusters to avoid being eaten. They also emit pheromones to attract even more locusts, resulting in a swarm. Starlings Behavior: Do what the neighbors do These birds coordinate their speed and direction with just a half dozen of their closest murmuration-mates, regardless of how packed the flock gets. Those interactions are enough to steer the entire group in the same direction. Honeybees Behavior: Head-butting When honeybees return from searching for a new nest, they waggle in a dance that identifies the location. But if multiple sites exist, a bee can advocate for its choice by ramming its head into other waggling bees. A bee that gets butted enough times stops dancing, ultimately leaving the hive with one option. me personally?,,,i'm something of a golden shiner,,,,seeking out the dark places. i notice lots of honeybee types here, banging heads....
there is a list of ex's chosen for de-extinction Tasmanian Tiger chosen for 'de-extinction' but i've heard zip on what species of the genus Homo they are working on. i don't expect they are on the same list, i suspect they would have been on an earlier, more important list. really, please, think about this and see if your bullshitometer doesn't ping. it seams likely to me; that public talk about the animals is going to be lagging behind some advanced programs involving the human species'. here is a nice little acid test; if you were rich and powerful enough to own a diplodocus or a caveman - which would you chose... it could be a 'her' , lads? __________________________________ that's all i wanted to say - when a bit of herd bullshit leaps out of the media and assails me with the group banana then often my reaction will be t
