Last thing I heard, he was headed into town to get a job selling ridiculously expensive sandwiches to people with too much money. At least that is what I gathered from his prose!

I think the drought go the better of him.

There was a touch of Kimbo in Mandala Town recently with a diatribe from the great Permasculptor. Had us in stitches.

Maybe he'll catch some of these good vibes and stop by for a post or two!

He'll be back one day when he's bored enough ... or his meds all interact just right ;)
I miss him too. A lot.
    KIMBO! Come home!
You can be sure nothing will ever get the better of him ... not permanently anyway :)

    Daily Cancer Horoscope

Wednesday, Feb 27, 2013 -- You may feel as if you walked into the middle of an awkward situation today. It's not a good idea to take sides in a pre-existing conflict now, but you might not be able to avoid it. It seems as if anything you do could have some negative consequences, so just pick the lesser of the evils and then get on with your day. Even if uncomfortable vibes linger, their intensity will settle down quicker than you think.

Take your paranoid pills & take a seat old son :) How delightful of you to stop by. You don't have to take any side ... everyone's on your side here :)
Giddy mate. Geez it's good to see ya :) I've had a shower, got a foxie curled up in my lap, a fresh cuppa & now a smile from ear to ear.
    So here I am ... now entertain me ;

lifting ones head above the mud

“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.”

    (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
and it is just so true that
‘What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence.

The only consequence is what we do.’

    (John Ruskin)
and this involves thinking outside the box, because
‘In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act’.

    (George Orwell)
‘if you are reading this – then you are the resistance!’

    (John Connor – Terminator Salvation)
so girth your loins comrades – we have a chance to personally define ourselves beyond the mediocrity of the herd
or die with no more honour than every other self serving bit of human virus on this rock
‘although we may fail, although we may fall; to strive for high ideals, to fight for the noble cause,

to stand shoulder to shoulder in our ambition to take humanity to an ideal-

    is it not trophy enough?’

    (distorted by kimbo)
    and what if
“what if this life, this blessed swamp, has no greater mystery than simply lifting ones head above the mud”

what i've been doing - vainly seeking glory - what else?

given my background in law enforcement, i figured it had all lead me to the point of devoting myself to the pursuit of the Shamanistic experience - that and seeing some pom doing a doco on his pursuit of the same - there was this guy swilling Juayhusca ( spelling ) and spewing his guts out with a bunch of natives , and reporting on the effects - which i hasten to add were none other than lots of chundering. (tosser)
perhaps it was watching this guy fail that inspired the thought that i could do better.

I don't know what your minds conjure up when you hear the word 'Shaman' but i think Druid/Geomancer with a touch of The Green Man and likely a Pagan chap, friend of the trees, father of forests, and dare i say it Tom Bombaddil-ish (spelling).

For me, the transition to Tom Bombaddil-ish- is requiring of a vehicle.

'The Spirit Molecule' (oodles of informative vids on youtube) DMT.

It's in everything - but it is much more in some things....like those acacia trees you were looking for another use for.

So the transition is going along reasonably well (thanks). It's not complete by any means- I still have rage. - A raging Tom Bombaddil - Tom Bombaddil with tats - Bad Bombaddil etc.

Hmmm ... meds still not working? ;) Buggar.
    Comments in no particular order:
KP you ARE a shaman. Possibly THE shaman. There is no need to pursue it. You can't pursue it. Its like chasing a min min - it will always stay the same distance away from you. Understand you & the light are one.
Yeah I love Bruce too. He's such a dag :)
"what if this life, this blessed swamp, has no greater mystery than simply lifting ones head above the mud” It doesn't, in my humble opinion. This is it. The divine is in the opportunity to choose to grab it by the balls & shake the shit out of it during the brief moment we are above the mud. And the sweet knowledge that when we return to the mud we truly return home. Nothing has been added to nor subtracted from this universe since the big bang. We truly are made from stardust & dinosaur shit, & to stardust & cow shit we return ... to the whole. That has to feel good doesn't it, to know you're going home? It does for me.
A KP without rage would be like ... I dunno ... a Maserati without keys? Kinda impotent :) But until you realize you are the light you'll still be just a rat in a cage ;)

Great to have you amongst us again Kimbo. You are always a wise and welcome voice.

But now I'm a bit suspicious. We don't hear from Helen for ages, then she drops by, mentions your name and you appear like a spirit on the wind. There's more than one shaman here....

That's so profound that it is frightening.

I'm over mediocrity. Never had any desire to be average. I'll happily settle on 'odd' or even 'deranged' but never 'normal'.

Kimbo, you are the personification of "creative extremist" ... surely a shaman-of-the-grey (moving towards shaman-of-the-white). Good to hear from you. Tezza too! Who else might be lurking out there?? It's old homey week at the forums!

(Eco, where did you find THAT awesome quote?? Oh wait, I see, it's from Helenlee!!! Nice!)

    :) :) :)
I have this fantasy image of Kimbo sitting high in his control tower commanding a room crammed to the ceiling with electronic equipment, relentlessly scanning the communication systems of the universe. At the mere mention of his name sirens sound, lights flash & the razor wire tightens. He can choose to zoom in, or simply ignore the crawling, pleading, seething worms who are begging for the divine being to appear. Imagine a sacrifice scene from ancient South American here - the writhing natives whipping themselves into a frenzy of druming, blood letting & gratuitious flattery to entice the great god to appear :) Sort of a Mad Max/ The Matrix/ Brando as Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now fusion, with tom toms, semi naked writhing & ayahuasca. :) Ha! That cheered me up no end :)

And the really truly spooky bit is that he does it in shorts & thongs (or a lumber jacket & beanie depending on the season) in a shed in the desert using only his amazing intuition & a keyboard, which has been thrown at the wall one too many times.
