Hi, my wife and I are from north-central British Columbia (zone 4b) and I'm looking for information resources about which plants can create a food forest in this climate. Here is a list of plants that grow where I live. Thanks so much for your time.

I have also included some pictures of the land we will be building our home on, we are still trying to determine the best spot (there is 126 acres). There is a large river and a small creek on the property so i think building near one of those might be a good idea. There is also quite a large decomposing wood chip pile beside the creek (there was a small town with a mill on this land 50 years ago. I think these wood chips can serve as great compost and mulch)

It appears you are in hardiness zone 4a or 4b, use this information to research plants that will thrive in your zone.
I would think Apple, Pear, Cherry, Service Berry (Saskatoon), Blue Berry, would all do pretty well for you with heavy mulch for winter time.
Veggies will all work from normal growing time of spring through summer.
