Wattles to be banned???

    Did you write in a submission then?

    Certainly for my part, unless there is a huge industry in extracting the stuff it seems waste of resources to ban these plants. It would be better that they just target those that concern them most and leave all the others alone.

    DMT is known as a "Rave" drug. DMT actually has a large illegal market for it because people believe it 'expands conciousness.' ((A debate I don't wish to sidetrack towards))

    I could make a list of the dozens of psychotropic and poisonous plants my local council (and others) plant everywhere;
    but i won't. Should cycads go on the list? i saw one fruiting its deadly poison in a Sydney street the other day.

    This is an overreaction; Nanny State stuff and plant paranoia which is rife in our culture.

    Perhaps connected with the new regulations for herbal medicine?
    (making life harder for small players)
