    Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for any unwanted storage containers. I can pickup from Wollongong or Hurstville and most places in between. Ideally I'm looking for 200 litres or more as I'd primarily be using them for water storage.

    Thanks in advance
    Gary

There are good one's food grade used to import olive oil from greece that are cheap in Melbourne but there must be similar olive oil importers up there.

I've often wondered about the feasibility of using a water-bed bladder for spare water storage. You can pick up the basic "full motion" bladder for around $10 and a well thought out stackable frame could have its advantages.

Water bed bladders if they have been used have had chemicals in them for the control of air bubble formation. If I remember right.. the chemical used is toxic if drunk so I would be very wary. Good idea though

I thought of the chemical problem already. That's why you'd have to spring for a new bladder rather than a used, and then only if this will be used for drinking. When new they're simply a deflated plastic bag (well at least the cheap '"full motion" ones) of course a used one could be used for gray water after a good cleaning. I'm sure there are a number of uses for tainted bladders. I wonder how they'd hold up exposed and used as greenhouse skin.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've put the feelers out for people importing oil. I hadn't thought of using bladders before. The cheapest i've been able to find drums for is around $10-15.

200L is too small, try to get a water tank, the biggest that will fit.
