Why investing in seed is different than investing in fertilizer (Part 1)

    https://marketrealist.com/2013/07/why-investing-in-seed-is-different-than-investing-in-fertilizer-part-1/

    And Part Two below

Why investing in seed is different than investing in fertilizer (Part 2)

This paragraph below literally destroys the motivation often pimped by this industry as to why GMO Seeds are necessary. It has ZERO to do with caring about and only wanting to feed mankind.

That should be interesting, I wonder if they would mind us trialling a bit of slash and burn agriculture. They are looking at sustainability, right?

I wonder if they will try open Monsanto's model village in India again. They tried to block all the angry local's from turning up to that field day, which turned out to be a disaster. Even in this so-called model village, there was poverty, farmer suicides, and the only people making money were the Don's who worked away from the village.

Or I wonder if they will take people to the test site where they grew two different types of corn, one tall, Roundup Ready variety, and one short, conventional corn variety. They didn't treat the short variety with the recommended pre-emergence herbicides, so when farmers came to see the "results", there was one field of lush looking tall plants, and another field of short, weed infested plants.

Yeah, the GM front have nothing to hide... right?

Good, they're in panic mode. I hope this turns out like Exxon's publicity stunt when they wanted to start drilling in the arctic region.

And if anyone thinks this forum gets testy at times, you ought to check out the Monsanto forum on that site.
