I spent significant time in the RMI (Republic of the Marshall Islands) and found them to be unlike anything I'd ever seen before ... a veritable paradise (if one could overlook the impacts of western society and wars to focus on the basic beauty of the tropical atolls). I mean, coconut palm lined shores, white coral sand beaches, constant trade winds, crystal clear lagoons. What's not to like? But this collection of atolls are very low lying and any basic change in sea level will affect them dramatically. Not sure what can be done at this point though.
