Sounds like 10 good reasons to go GM.
Nah I dont want this, cant really see how to stop it coming tho.
My 10 good reasons to grow organic.
1.I know what I'm eating.
2.I know where the seed came from.
3.I know where the fertiliser/compost came from and what its made from.
4.I feed my hens with my bugs and weeds (hopefully without store bought pellets soon).
5.My eggs are clean and brown.....brown ...the new green.
6.My garden helps with my mental/emotional as well as physical wellbeing.
7.It provides a habitat for a more and more varied wildlife, including honey bees which have obviously been taken somewhere north for the winter.
8.ummmm....cant think of anything else but I know there must be 3 more somewhere
You are reducing the use of water (takes less to grow at home than buy from an irrigated field)
You are reducing the use of petrochemicals used in the transport of food to your door
You are removing carbon from the atmosphere and returning it to the humus from whence it came
That's gets us to 10.
If more people grew vegies, it would make the population a lot happier through the sheer act of growing food and gardening. I feel gardening is such a healing healthy activity and by growing your own food the feeling of achievement is even greater. That's my 10 reasons.
