This is a great movie and well worth the watch if you have the bandwidth ... free for this week! https://permaculturenews.org/2015/04/21/symphony-of-the-soil/
for those who've not done much soil studies this is a good intro film. i have quibbles about bits of it, but on the whole it was worth the time to watch. some of the film reminded me how beautiful nature can be. not that i really needed a reminder, but just a basic happy appreciation for what life can do in so many ways.
My thoughts exactly. On the whole a very nice soil primer, but it made a few presumptions. As someone new to this community I have no idea how this feedback will go down but... I don't think lumping the spiritual stuff in this movie helps at all. Mainstream folks seeking answers to practical problems will turn their backs on permaculture if it seems cult-ish.
i didn't notice a strong spiritual overtone to the movie, and i'm pretty sensitive to that sort of thing. what i did notice more is a general appreciation for the soil and some people being enthusiastic about working with the soil. which is what i would expect from such a movie.
