bought a local roll yesterday, using their trailer (free) $71, reckon it was a good 10 bales maybe a bit more will have a quick measure later to see how far it went. lots of green in it smelt good enough for emergency cattle fodder. not sure where this stuff come from young fella though nth'n nsw?? but is lots fresher than what we are used to getting. ok roughly 10sq/mtrs depth around 100mm to 150mm +- variable.

the other mulch i was getting is on a delay of 2 weeks he opted not to cut because of weather forecast (dumb hey who believes them?), i reckon he missed the cutting opportunity because from here on in it is likely to rain, so not sure when we may see any product now?

the prices are they delivery only prices + the cost of bales/rolls?? it would be double that for me up the far north side and out of my pocket adn way too much product.

hey anthony we have a lot of family tree connections down your way and rocky point the fel's family for one, our german forebears settled a lot of that area way back in the late 1800's early 1900's.

would be pretty hard for most of gardeners to do that or 100 bales, you'd need to find say 8 or 10 other like gardeners in close vicinity.

I get the 8 foot (3ookg) bales for about the same price at the local produce.

the large round bales are 38 plus or minus a bit for delivery to dicky beach - - 0404851746 I paid him $40

he does deliver further south - caboolture I think he went to after delivering to me.... he adds dollars for the further distance - not sure how much

but as len is paying $71 for a local bale it might be worth ringing him

tell him Tony at dicky Beach put you on to him - - I might get a cheaper bale next time....

g'day tony,

ok i rang the guy got his messaging recording, left number etc.,. about 4 days or so ago, and to date no reply dunno??

anyhow wonder if next you talk to him you might ask if he would deliver to deception bay just off the highway too easy (app 1/2 hour from cab'). the rolls are the realy big roles or the 10 or 12 bale equivalent like i laready source near by?

I'm happy to get 10 or more round bales (truck load) to my place and if you want one I could drop it over, I have left a message with a guy selling on the sunshine coast so I'll let you know how I go.

Have not heard back from him as yet Len, will let you know when I do. I can store most of the bales in my shed too if you can't take it straight away too.

Just ordered 2x32k concrete tanks, been focus on digging a 4x8m by 1.5m deep hole, keeping me busy.

Next doors Backhoe, but hard work due to the clay bogging up the hoes bucket all the time.

I have 10 large round bales coming tomorrow morning. Len I'll message you to sort out a time to drop it over.
