Funny so little of this is in MSM in Southern States Axing one of the biggest combination solar and gas power plants in the world under a $1.2 billion scheme, seems crazy especially when Newman/Qlds contribution was 75 million in a BILLION dollar project. The Feds were contributing $464 million! seems like a good return on State money to me!
This guy says he is about private sector job promotion Yet this seems an idealogically driven decision anti- Global warming thinking, carried though to extremes, to the point of hurting State Development.
Perhaps he has too many Qld Coal shares??

AUSTRALIA'S biggest solar energy scheme is dead in the water, torpedoed by the withdrawal of funding by the Newman Government.

The State Government is pulling $75 million out of a renewable energy power project, effectively killing off up to 400 jobs.

Regional Queensland was set to be home to one of the biggest combination solar and gas power plants in the world under a $1.2 billion scheme, a joint Federal-State Government and private partnership.

What is it about renewable energy that upsets conservatives?
Whatever it is, it has just driven Campbell Newman to renege on an election promise and gut Queensland's highly successful Solar Bonus Scheme by reducing the rate payable to households feeding solar energy into the grid by more than 80 per cent.

The ClimateSmart Home Service set up by Queensland’s former Labor state government has become the first casualty in the recently elected conservative Liberal National Party (LNP) government’s war on renewable energy schemes

    G'day Michael

Or perhaps he is just 'paying off' old party debts?

See, for example, 'donation' received from Linc Energy by the QLD LNP.

    Who is Linc Energy?

At the heart of Linc Energy's projects is our strong portfolio of coal, oil, gas and oil shale deposits, as well as a committed team, spread across the globe, driving new and innovative ways of unlocking these to generate valuable energy solutions to fuel tomorrow's future.

As a wise person once said, the fruit never falls far from the tree.

    Cheerio, Markos

How about this line from the article
"It's just an arrangement for the way we go about our business. This is the way we do it."
at least they dont lie about how it works

White shoes and rednecks are back in power.
