    Hi all,

I'm having a plague of slugs and snails at the moment, and spend most nights out in the garden hunting them down.

I also set lots of dishes with beer in, to attract and drown them, however this is getting quite expensive! Anyone know of any other substance that attracts them?

    Paula.

Coffee grounds keeps them away and adds good stuff to the soil.

If you really want to attract them, in order to pick them up and dispose of them that way, just create a wet, shady depressing in the ground with a piece of board over it, they'll hang out under there.

Instead of beer, just mix some sugar, water and yeast. It has what they like (they actually don't care for alcohol), AND you are less likely to find your friends under the bushes on their bellies, slurping out of the saucer..... ;-) Well, most of them, anyway......
