Hey everyone, So im 23 and am interested in studying permaculture I just need some motivation. So I'm looking for someone to keep me accountable. Looking for someone who can bring ideas and discuss concepts either once or twice a week. Let me know if your interested. thanks, Kenny
The folks at permies.com are going through the Permaculture Designer's Manual chapter by chapter: https://www.permies.com/forums/f-142/pdm If there's any interest, we could do something similar here ...
There is HIGH interest right here with talking about various chapters. I don't understand how Permies did the ethics chapters & kept more then 1 member, but that's me, the banned intellectual.
OK. Let's do this. How about this for an approach: 1) Make a dedicated thread for each chapter of the manual. 2) So that even those without access to the manual can participate, we can post summaries of the sections and ideas within each chapter for review and discussion. 3) Spend what, maybe 2 weeks per chapter before posting the next chapter's thread? Discussion can always continue on previous chapters. This is an important project as we'll be able to finely comb through the designer's manual together (and it's about time I read it all again!) Any other ideas or approaches? I think this will be fun and enlightening to hear perspectives from around the world!
Awesome well Im currently reading the dry arid areas chapter so I'll go ahead and post a thread on that first.
sounds good to me. : ) posting outlines of the chapter would be good. weren't there public domain versions available? would someone be willing to break them down into smaller sections for downloading? if they are under 2Mb each i could host them on my website for a while.
Ya I'm almost positive that you can type in "permaculture design manual PDF" into google and you can get it downloaded for free.
