Dear reader, My name is Wouter and I am from The Netherlands. I am currently doing a major in Tropical Forestry and I am very interested in permaculture. From February to July my internship starts on a permaculture farm in Costa Rica! I am really excited for this since I am really eager to start learning more about how permaculture works in practice. But... I need your help. I have to conduct a research during my internship. I already asked the owners of the farm whether they know something to conduct a research on their farm but this still is a kind of vague. I really want to conduct a useful research that adds something to the (already very broad) knowledge of permaculture. Does someone have any advice for me or has something that they would like to have researched for themselves (which of course must be something I can conduct in Costa Rica) Let me know!
Greetings Wouter and welcome, What a great location to do a Permaculture internship in Costa Rica! Have you looked into the research projects currently underway at the Permaculture International Research Network? https://www.permaculture.org.uk/research Especially check out the list of Permaculture-friendly academics: https://www.permaculture.org.uk/research/list-permaculture-friendly-academics who might have some unique research interests compatible with your Costa Rican studies.
