    Hey,

I've got good news. I grew my own quinoa :)
With all the worries about the farmers in Bolivia and Peru who couldn't get quinoa, I decided to grow my own. And it worked :) It is easy to thresh, but the only problem is that it looks like goosefoot, a weed.
But I have to tell that I live in a cool climate where you can grow many Andean crops (the Netherlands) so perhaps for the most people in Australia it wont work.

    Greetings Matis

I don't know how the climate is where you live but other people from Oregon also grew quinoa.
I am buying a southern Chile quinoa which is more adapted to my region.
I buy it from a site in Oregon too :)

This year I just grew the quinoa from a health food shop but I think that this species is better.
