and again grahame this is your inhumanity platform, yes we need to do things different and many things out there are petty bad no so as CSG, but and it is a big but, how do you green elves propose to keep people employed, keep jobs on shore, create earning to raise taxes from. or just simply greenly shut it all down and you people will dig deep and look after us all, sounds good to me, won't happen though as the followers of these dreams don't deal in reality. again i say i was born in teh mid 40's i did not pop out and ask am i entering a good industrialised community, no i didn't the rot as you say was already in vogue, i had no choice or say, now you want to dehumanise me and make me suffer. how about some reality please something that has actual facts, i would change yesterday if you tell me how i can drive my car(necessary) cheaper maybe free with no pollution, then what about all the trucks, buses, boats and planes, do you really have a concept of what will happen if peak oil is true, no mobile phones, computers no oodles of things as well as no food in the shops. think about it more inhumanity to man on show, for every dollar donated to your cause donate same to public health. len trying to envisage a life of misery for no gain.
The conservatives trying to help their rich mates rape and pillage without consequences, nothing new. We do envisage a life of misery with no gain and its threat to humanity Len you seem to be only concerned with your short term comforts to see the big picture. Stop derailing threads with your childish, self obsessed, uninformed waffle.
True enough Grasshopper. It seems they think they have a 'mandate' to plunder without criticism. My feelings on this government is that it may well be 'the government we had to have'. It is already looking like a train wreck in many respects. It's like labour stalled at the lights and the Libs have slammed into the rear, leaving wreckage everywhere...
Well put Grahame! That is exactly what it looks like! How long before Coalition voters start to squirm and have to acknowledge they elected a dud government?
I think the smarter ones have realised already. They haven't made a winning move yet and there supposed to be in the honeymoon period. The sooner people realise there is no solutions in do nothing politics, nothing can bring down the cost of living pressures except recession, depression or collapse. Lets see how good they are at running an economy without a mining boom while implementing austerity. The sheeple will not be happy.
It's just the start unfortunately. Getting rid of green tape is a number one priority. Goodbye marine parks, goodbye old growth forests, goodbye protection of water resources for the almighty royalties from coal seam gas because the feds won't care about the EPBC Act.............. Watch them all scream down the track. I may print off those stickers, "Don't blame me I didn't vote for them". I'll make a fortune. You know they are taking the piss when Tony Abbott making himself Minister for Women. What a kick in the teeth. You only have to look at his acceptance speech surrounded by the three vestal virgins (daughters all dressed in white) to know where his head is. I'm going to vomit.
Bam! This hand basket is jet propelled... https://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-09-26/federal-intervention-to-kickstart-nsw-csg-sector/4982316 Bang, bang, bang...The sound of another nail going into the coffin
This is actually bothersome. If this were happening in the US, I'd suggest that all of the "grassroot" movements(anit-GMO, anti-Fracking, etc.) just apply for a 527, call yourself a political entity and just move on. Now you can take money from anyone and legally say anything that you want to say without the worry of getting sued for flat out lying. This is a tool that billionaires use to circumvent political donation laws, and it's freely available to anyone. I believe it's also covered under freedom of speech. Since it is a political election tool, I can't see anyone "fixing" this glaring loophole of deceit any time soon. In the US, a 527 is also called a SuperPAC(a more common term). Maybe you have something similar in Australia?
hey Grass, are you trolling me? this pagan doesn't like to stand with the god botherers, but i am given little choice here - no post derails a thread....everyone has an opinion....nothing forces you to read any post....and claiming childish self obsessed waffle is insulting.... besides, ............. there are no weeds, and there is an ignore button. i find lens presence in the mix 'comforting', it is one thing to turn a known problem into a solution,,,and quite another to divine the likelihood that the known 'problem' is actually preventing a plethora of potential problems..... i've got len pegged as an unrecognised solution, and for all i know there are thousands who tune in to lenspeak.....(it is a strange world). besides it is all in the 'chat' sub sub forum, where childish self obsessed waffle is the norm. cheers, k footnote: if the multitude of lenfans could just note where the support is coming from here and cut the Pagans some frgn slack....that would be cool.
House economics were taken out of the public economic model years ago. [This may sound sexist and for this I apologize]. Schools stopped teaching a class called home economics. Women were forced to move out in to the job market to help pay the rent, feed the children and buy clothing. Granted, for some women it was a choice. The traditional nuclear family: husband works, wife stays at home. But that is a simplification of it, a very broad simplification. Housewives were treated as 2nd class citizens because they didn't directly affect the "economy", although they did, it was just not in the way that "the man" wanted. If we were to embrace the model of one parent working while one stayed at home, we could seriously affect the world in a very subversive way. You would pretty much make people less of a consumer, because the stay at home partner would do things such as repair clothes, cook meals, take care of the children, grow food, etc. I'm not advocating that women should stay home and be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen baking pies. Economy has to move back to the household, and that would be a mighty big step for the human race. If there was a healthy mix of male and female home economists, then so much the better. A couple could also each work a job, on a different schedule, and enjoy the benefits of staying at home part time and only having to work in the external market part time. If they set it up right, they could both enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner together, in the home. But back to the problem at heart. Peak oil is going to be true sooner or later. Oil is a finite resource, everybody was taught this in school. It will run out. This is not a theory, this is not a conspiracy, it is a fact. When it will run out is the debate, not if. Before it runs out, it will become very expensive, more expensive than it is today. We've wasted most of this oil in poor city planning, poor agricultural planning and a myriad pile of useless gadgets and toys. People are going to suffer when/if the shit hits the fan. We can turn this ship around and stop it from sinking, but it's up to each individual. No government is going to do it. It's probably not going to happen on a large scale until things get worse, much worse.
unmutual, yes you again provide no solutions just hypothacy and even more supposition questions, when i as a kid in the late 40's to early 60's wives/women were not treated like second rate citizens, where you get that idea that they were ever treated such is beyond me, maybe it comes with the myth mum's particularly were very important they filled their 50/50 role by doing their duties selflessly, we lived in a community/suburb, where if even one mum needed to go to town all other mum's could be relied upon to look after their kids, nowadays selfish motives have taken that away, we lived in a christian society, there's no getting away from it every one was driven by the same moral ethics, now the floor has been wiped with those ethics, or even bottoms, by lustful selfishness. in amid that is the real reason why we have so much inhumanity, people who want a myth driven blaming society for their own ends. someone who reckons they are blameless casts stones then blame the person coping the stoning again just another from probably a yuppie region, like our southern qld coast communities. yes oil will run out maybe long after we are gone and pushing up daisies at least, but for now coal power and petrol is all we have, if we had something affordable(remember poor people have the same right to life as you others) look at the facts of our past communities when crime was very low it actually made news if someone was arrested, no rape, no child molestation(except in mostly church run institutions and orphanages. melbourne and sydney have never been good bench marks, but take a good hard honest look. my wife had to get a job so we could afford a basic 2 bedroom weatherboard home, fairly small room with a family to live in. that was the uneven playing field created by the yuppy set and greed. for that they took most of the piffling child endowment off of us, and we worked shift work better money paid for in our house child care while we were at work, no assistance from the greedy gov' then, those times burgeoned an industry of nannies but they were only for the richer greedy set. no wonder we have so many wayward kids, families are discriminated against nothing to do with false glass ceiling effect, their 50/50 rule discriminates, many women just want a job to support the family income like lots of blokes don't aspire to boardroom high stress jobs, go do the proper maths, my wife was happy enough to be equal partner in earning money for the total benefit of the family, same as her mother who also did a sterling job raising a family and helping the family income, so teh discrimination against women that you identify comes from greedy politicians and those who support them. we need reality, we need to return to our roots, so as we can point new arrivals to the society they are entering if it doesn't suit them then they can select someplace else, that would be honesty, which is not even in play. people don't like hearing this but this modern discrimination was not about when we lived in army villages and then into council houses in the suburb's all races lived happily together. but the manipulators don't want that, what the sneaky gov' did out of sight out of mind in the days of radio and newspapers no one knew about, slack journo's didn't delve, like now they only report what the gov' wants reported, mostly red herrings. look to the truth that will include all no discrimination. provide solutions here and now solutions not theory. and while the myth is promoted the greedy are being protected by gov regulation. you can't stop that progression or change it whilst ever you target good people and make them into myth demons. lets unite as human's driven by caring. len
And yet this is what you do consistently and constantly in this forum. You judge us as not good people and you judge our views on Climate Change as myth. This is called hypocrisy. Why should we unite under your banner Len? You proclaim yourself a good, caring person, and yet your words speak of something else. You call regularly for solutions, we offer them up and you refute as not already in place or ignore them altogether. And when we ask you for your solutions you offer nothing. When will you drop the Hyperbole and enter into conversation, rather than sermon?
below the belt grahame, i don't expect you to see the truth as it was, you judge me so lets be above board, i know i hold little worth in the forum because my words are turned against me, i haven't judged anyone just pointed to myth theories. surely moderators need to be moderate, not support the group against another who is least liked. sorry but until you have factual facts climate change is a once upon a time myth. all it delivers is pain to the poor who pay for the pleasures of the wealthy, where do you lay? i'm not silly enough to expect any public support for what i write, i write it because that is how it was. come now grahame, what solutions do you offer all that is said is we must turn of cola driven power and industry and make petrol so dear only the wealthy can afford it, where are our affordable for lowest common denominator alternatives, no theories now something i can afford to do right here and now and i'll do it the masses will do it, but the masses don't hang out here do they? i have made my offer, which until something cement comes along affordable power, food, water and transportation. but you of all people ignore what i say. some come on grahame a bit of fairness for those who can afford little, and it is utterly cruel to say that i am a selfish person, i live down where the suffering happens. they complain to me, but i don't have any answers because i see the inhumanity here. my banner is humanity obviously not to your liking. len
maybe while you are off having council to figure my punishment, what do you or the rest have to offer to bring our community together for the betterment of all. len
Just read up on the history of the feminist movement. You'll have your answer. Then read up on the civil rights movement. The good old days were only good for white men with the stray black man or white woman that the white males allowed in to their little club so they didn't look as bad.
that's modern garbage unmutual, in my day alcoholism was low, women were not habitually raped, the coloured people in our community were equals. just shows how far mythology has gone, those who profess intelligence and wisdom easily swayed by smoke and mirrors stuff. so what is your solution to societies woes?. the civil rights movement hat best has helped create 2 cultures women and men separated to the detriment of kids. open your eyes seek the real factual truth. oh! must ask what club? len
I'm sorry that you feel that the 100 years that women have fought hard for equal rights means nothing to you. I'm also sorry that you think the civil rights movement was a bad idea. You lived through most of this and ignored it, or treat it as a lie. I feel that trying to inform you will serve no other purpose than to frustrate both you and myself. I'll leave you to your truths.
you seem destined to bitterness i am only 67 years old happily married to a beautiful caring women who is not my slave, we have been for 43 years of course ups and downs but we didn't turn to anti family type movements. equal work should be without question equal pay, and no it hasn't but that is greedy bosses ot ordinary blokes like me, at 16 i was replaced by a senior women to do my storeman duties, because she was cheaper and could do clerical, when i said bout the heavy lifting they said they would get any bloke on hand to help, didn't make me feel any better but don't take it out on us decent blokes, you target teh real culprits in life that is greed and power for teh few at teh cost to the many. len
And the 'stolen generations''? And what about the holocaust? and all the abuse covered up by the Church? All modern garbage?
