Hi Geoff and Sindhu, As a incredible coincidence, I found few days ago your website, and in the same time your participation on the Oaxaca project... Let me presenting myself: I am the school counselor of the french school in Mexico (for the fourth year), am french, and married with a mexican biologist (laboratory of terestrial vertebrates ecology and conservation, UNAM). Since first we came to live in Mexico, we planed to work with children about environmental education, and to follow a system wich is used in France ( farm receiving classes to allow them to participate the life with animals and plants "ferme pedagogique"), We are now looking for a small property to iniciate nearby Mexico City, our work. What we call in France "agriculture Biologique" was THE structure wich was going to support our project, and doing some research, we just found that permaculture (more than biodynamic) is exactly what corespond to our feelings and wishes. I know that someone like Skye, has been working in Mexico for about ten years now, but I just thought that if you were going to teach a course next summer, it would have been a great oportunity to iniciate us ... Posted by Daniel Jaramillo HI Boris, I am one of the designers that has worked in Mexico on this first phase of design and implementationt of the Institute in Oaxaca. The site is on its first crawls as to be a permaculture design education and demonstration center on the central valleys of oaxaca and as a consecuence it would try to do and demonstrate all those things you might have read on the webpage. You might want to contact the project manager or one of the guys in charge at [email:24s6j1lz][email protected][/email:24s6j1lz] maybe you can arrange a visit and see the site on its first stages of development since I am sure it will look very diferent very soon.
