Perennial N-fixing groundcover?

    Climate:
    Sub-tropical to temperate 2000mm rain, elevated 350-475m
    I would try Wynn Cassia. The seed is readily available here in Aust. Livestock find it unpalatable in the summer months, but eat it as a high protein source in the dry winter, or just slash it in after spring flowering and seed set. It must be inoculated at planting to fix N.
