Hi folks, Are you an organic gardener, preferably with a permaculture background and with some experience in market gardening? What if I told you an opportunity exists to get your hands dirty in one of the most unspoilt environments on the planet? A truly unique opportunity awaits the right candidate to run an organic garden for one growing season at a remote estancia (cattle & horse ranch) in the Northern Lakes region of Patagonia, Argentina. The estancia hosts seasonal tourists and volunteers every summer, and this season will be a particularly busy time when we host at least 50 people in March 2012. Work with another permaculturist and the switched on owners of the estancia to make a start on establishing an organic permaculture garden that will see this working farm & eco-tourism property attain a high level of self-sufficiency over the next few years. The remoteness of this farm will be a challenge, but will provide an opportunity to the right candidate to experience nature like in few other places in the world. This is "getting away from it all" taken to the most beautiful extreme! We would provide housing, a horse (the de facto mode of transport in this neck of the woods), lots of helpers, and of course all materials and supplies needed. Some vital statistics are: Where? Estancia Ranquilco in the Andes and right on the border with Chile When? Sept 2011-Apr 2012 Contact? Pierre Marx or T.A. Carrithers We look forward to hearing from you soon! Regards, Pierre & T.A.
