We were very happy to finally breed a few (3) modern game chicks just recently.

They are very spritely and are being taught amazingly well by our crossbred bantam 'henrieter' :D

We will have to come up with some other arrangement for the modern game chickens to lay their eggs since they are being intimidated by the larger chooks and hence being pushed out of the laying boxes. I'm finding eggs laid in very strange places, even inside the ride on mower ie in the grass clipings sitting on top of the mower deck, underneath the engine

    Strud,
get some old lawn mower catchers, chooks love laying in them and they are cheap from the local dump shop.
You can place them around the place, in semi-hidden spots, chooks find them, the eggs are out of the weather, and if you locate them right, the crows don't find the eggs either. Easy to pick up and check each afternoon. They will sit on a shelf or other out-of-the-way place where chooks love to hide their eggs.

Nice little chickens by the way!
