I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on using plants or maybe herbs to worm a dog. I have a kelpie who absolutely hates worm tablets and seems to have ESP when it comes to worming time. No matter what I try he knows there is a tablet involved and never swallows it. He is a garbage guts and wolfs down everything (except tablets) so maybe some kind of natural treatment can be used.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Garlic - pop some raw stuff in his food. You can use it to worm Chickens also (crush some up in their drinking water)

Just so you know though - there is a technique for making the dog swallow worm tablets though. You need to place it in his mouth at towards the back of the tongue, then close hold is mouth closed and then gently stroke the underside of his throat/neck to make him swallow.

Do a Google search for it and see if you can get it in your area.
