Well its 10.38 friday nite just 1 more sleep before our Magical Mystery Tour starts off.The guitar and Amp are packed.The Elephant Garlic is packed away.The bill mollison tapes are packed away.Video Camera, Digital camera. My Reading Books,Half my music collection,Mobile phone has been bought, Mobile phone number is 0429448720 Hopefully at every major town i can log onto here to keep board up to date. If anyone hasnt given me a contact number i wont be able to contact them OK... Yeah Come over chris love to have you.its great so far,Were here at rentrem,s house...Its a verry nice place band a lovely couple with freindly neighbers too!!!...Rens garden is huge and very exstensive am looking forwards to exploring tommorow better...The scenary is very green and its rained allmost 6 of our first 7 days...even an aussie summer hasnt stopped the weather.I think some are blaming the rain on us lol.. Waved goodbye to Tezza and Lucky this morning as they continued on their way after staying with us for 2 nights. What great blokes they are. Have to be the easiest guests ever. It was great to meet someone from the list face to face, maybe now I won't be so backward in posting. Tezza, hope you and Lucky have a fabulous trip and you come back and see us soon. The boys arrived here via the scenic route from Oxley in NSW to Oxley in Victoria. Gotta get a better map fellas; at least it wasn't via Oxley in Qld hey?!!! Oh yeah, they didn't really want me to spill the beans about their 4 hour detour! After such an hilarious start to their visit with us, we shared plenty more laughs and permie chats, and bounced around lots of ideas for Baringapark. What a great adventure and so wonderful to meet the people we communicate with via this medium. I highly recommend these two as house guests, but just make sure you speak to Lucky when giving directions to your place...they may just make it. No offence Tezza and thanks for the garlic. Hope you like the plum jam 'cos you don't need teeth to eat that! Keep us informed of your progress boys. They're off to visit Franceyne next. Elizabeth
Ha Ha Thanks Elizabeth your jams were great i wolfed them down with scrambled egg 2 days later ...Was a lovely stay at yopur place elizabeth Well remember those exotic bird calls for ever it was like out of an old jungle movie....Special thanks to robin for the most satisfying non tooth bbq ive ever had was yummy,,... Thankls also to Ren N Charles for their wonderfull hospitality as well. and use of your washing facilitys nice to wear clean clothes again and your cooking ren was yummy even though i couldnt enjoy it much lolol.. Thursday n friday was spent at Francyenes and glens house.wow what a quaint house set in 40 acres of forest with all sorts of animals and creatures especially the ones in the house....unfortunatly fran was at work but glen was a more then able to keep us entertained and informed about their property untill fran arrived home.. Today we are off to cathys house in Canownidra. its a 7 hour drive from bendigo and am hoping to get their without getting too lost.hopefully theres only one canowndra in aussie Thats all for today folks ...... this is fun Will post again i hope if able to and will give a full report later on when i get home to west Oz. thanks again Ren Elizabeth and Franceyne it was really great to meet you and your kin and would love to repay if you ever visit the west in the future Tezza
Well the tour is due here tonight....if they dont get lost. Will talk to them about going north via Brisbane as they have no offers to visit between here and Atherton Nth QLD. I'm off to Brissy on Wed for 4 weeks and hopefully see the sale of our place up there. Then off on our own magical mystery tour hopefully getting to WA to see the aquaponics in action. Here we are at Cathy,s place .the veiws are impressive,cool day ahead will go exploring later on. Off to the coast tommorow then a week or two before we get to atherton areas and jez,s place hopefully,cant wait to see a beech instead of bush , :lol: hearing about sharks on the gold coast and sharks in general prior to going north AND ADDing Crocodiles to the list, Im beginning to dread the rest of this trip, :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: catch you all later........ Well everybody the trip is over......got as far as gingin above bundaburg ... my teeth/gums were my main distraction ..i been sort of suffering since i left and have improved slightly since .but home is better when ill.. ill get back soon with my details of our story, may be a long one lo,having troubles at home, in perth and having to mess around aint helping. will try to get to everyone as soon as i can, to thank them for their very generous hospitality.back to perth today for a bit ..sick mum.weill post when i can, wont be long thanx for your wishes everyone gota go now back soon LOVE you all Tezza
Well Here I am Finally Getting Back To Everyone again. But First I have a bit of Bad/Sad news 2 weeks ago Tommorow (Tuesday)......My Old Magigal Mystery Tour Mate Lucky..Was Found Dead Just outside Darwin......... He had Commited Suicide.............The Silly Old Fart Shot Himself in the back of His/our Tour Vehicle....... I never got to see him again after we split near Gin Gin last March... I had been in Contact via his Mobile ph a few times hed seamed Happy,But there was an underlying sadness..His Reason for his trip, to be away from his broken marrage.I think, Deep Down he knew it was his Last time,He never got back to home(Perth)...He didnt want to go back >Darwin was where he was born, Now its where he died...... Lucky Was my mate ..Wed been freinds for 14 years....not long considering where both early 50s.But a freindship no less.We had our little ups and Downs,But we had a Bond....Same ages,Same Generation,Same Music Tastes.....Heck he was my First Convert To Our Way of life.. Allthough he never considered himself a Permie....He could see where we came from...Heck we planted 5000 trees together in one week once.. all by hand in Pissing rain,Started on Monday morning didnt stop raining untill Friday morning.we finished friday arvo...... I think I could type a post longer then then Chris,much longer but i wont.. Hes being Cremated in Darwin Tues unfortunatly Im unable to attend.. But in his honour, Ittl be guitar jamming Wake for him about his service time tommorow......Gonna play some of our favorites..Great classics from the late Sixties and early Seventies..Disk and My guitar..... Why do all they Good Ones go So early.....He was a troubled man in the end,But in a way i think he was happy..He had Started a new life in Darwin got himself a buisness and a new lady freind.....Even they were unawear of his feelings....Not too mention myself.......Huge Shock,But on after thought....I think he knew ..... My mind is ok ....I know it wasnt my sense of humour that drove him too it. I just think hes a victim of Cercumstances......... Aw heck..................Can a person get electricooted by dripping tears on a keyboard????? Id just l;ike to Say goodbye to him Via this board as I cant in Darwin.. But i wish i was there to say good bye......... I know he enjoyed Our trip I sure Did.we split as freinds not as anything else.....He loved Visiting our Hosts when we visited you all in Febuary... Our last contact was via the mobile txt messages....Our humour was still there.Unfortunatly it was a month or so prior to his Death..... I am in shock Tezza. Lucky was a gorgeous, generous, big hearted man. We really fell in love with him while you guys were here. I can't believe he is gone and under these circumstances. I guess we never really know what is in another's heart. All my love to you Tezza. How is his son coping? E
