I connected very well with Linda's concept of an intense mandalla garden as described in her book 'The permaculture home garden'. So well that I decided to give it ago. We decided to plan for 6 mandalla's in total building 2 initially expanding to the 6 if we like it enough to do so. So far we have removed a number of eucalypts, removed old chook pens, burning old piles of trees, removing fences, built a shade house, and planted seeds. The other day I remembered that because of the slope of the land everything ends down the bottom when the chooks scratch, so decided that we will terrace the land - arranging the dozer at the momment. Has anybody else had experience with Linda's method of gardening or know of someone doing it? Is there anything I need to consider when terracing (slope approx 1:6 to North slightly to the East)?
