Thanks Anissa, I'll look forward to the pics. Re the netting skirt, you really need to camoflage it with something. We buried our just under the surface, Tully has landscaped hers. If the fox can see the netting, he'll keep moving back and dig. If he can't see it and hits it unexpectedly, he might have a couple more goes, then hopefully give up and go home. After all, who's to say the skirt isn't 15 feet wide. He doesn't know that it's only a couple of feet. My chookies were out most of today and I really enjoy watching them off down the paddock. I had to go out unexpectedly this arvo so had to lock them up while it was still daylight. I went armed with a delectable scoop of free range mix and they all came running. No problems locking them up. Bribery, it works every time. Tully, I had 11 little silkies hatch last Monday. No particular breeding, but delightful all the same. Tam
You wouldn't credit it, my dad came looking for his camera and I'm now without one. No photos but I could probably try and draw one  . T a m

Well, we took some photos, but hubby left the cable for the phone at work. We will probably pick it up tomorrow or Monday. We did get the fence up today.
Wow! I finally get to see a chook dome. That looks great Anissa. Can't wait to tackle one myself when I get the time. Tam
Looks great Anissa....did you not do the bottom pipe on purpose? :?: I love the sunset and the yards or gate on the left.....what area are you in it looks like nice country
We are on the Mid North Coast of NSW. On the road out to Taylors Arm (Pub with no Beer). We do have a wonderful view here. We are a bit exposed to the wind though! There is a pipe on the bottom its just covered with mulch. There is also a chicken wire skirt to semi fox proof it. Here is one of our views. I'll do some more another day. It's raining today.
Hey Anissa, You get a good picture of the mandala layout seeing it like that. DID THE CHOOKS DO ALL THAT CULTIVATING IN THE FRESH SPOT? How wonderful! Loved the pic of your rooster, with a hen just peeking into to the viewfinder. What type is he? Welsummer? New Hampshire? And the hen? (cheeky little thing) How much land do you have? Goats? Other animals? My dad took his camera back so I just have to draw my pics to post in paintbrush. 8) Tam
Thanks for posting those (keep em coming ) Anissa, your place is beautiful! Um, (thinking of Frank here Tam) Anissa, can you please get a close up shot of your roosters comb??? Where did you get him?
