Getting back to ducks and chooks getting on with a Grungie heavy metal rocker.I can deffinatly say that this is perfectly ok and Funny to notice . I love loud music and so do my chooks and my Kharki Cambells There hearing must be on different wave length then ours as noticed by cambells sitting next to speakers blaring out A.C.D.C they must be Acca Quacker fans huh.And Floyd my galah just loves anything loud as when my band practises at our house he just loves LOUD Pink Floyd.. Not reccommended you just crank up the volume at once, just increase to desired volume. Then hope neighbers are out ....Im lucky as my neighber shouts for me to turn it UP lol Tezza
Hey Tezza, An AC/DC fan influencing his flock, I knew you had to be a alright bloke. Tell us about your band. What do YOU play? Tam
She was standing at the load-in When the trucks rolled up She was sniffing all around Like a half grown female pup She wasn’t hard to talk to Looked like she had nowhere to go So I gave her my pass So she could get in and see the show Well I sat her down right next to me And I got her a beer While I mixed that sound on stage So the band could hear The more I watched her watch them play The less I could think of to say And when they walked off stage The drummer swept that girl away But rosie you’re all right -- you wear my ring When you hold me tight -- rosie that’s my thing When you turn out the light -- I’ve got to hand it to me Looks like it’s me and you again tonight rosie Well I guess I might have known from the start She’d come for a star Might have told my imagination not to run too far Of all the times that I’ve been burned By now you’d think I’d have learned That it’s who you look like Not who you are But rosie you’re all right -- you wear my ring When you hold me tight -- rosie that’s my thing When you turn out the light -- I’ve got to hand it to me Looks like it’s me and you again tonight rosie Jackson Browne I guess drummer
Oh Christopher! I nearly fell off my seat laughing at images invoked by your song!! My partner, Glenn says that if you ever visit Australia you are more than welcome to drop by for a jam  Cheers, Fran.
Gotta have the music thumping full bore , windows and doors all open whilst you sow your Taga seeds Tam! I'm going to save up for a splitter thingamyjig and more speakers so I can put them out under the eaves of the house and "she shall have music wherever she goes".... Imagine milking the goat to Boccelli, or riding your horse to James Taylor, picking some sprigs of Cootamundra Wattle to John Williamson
Fran, Thanks for the invite. When we eventually make it to Australia, we will visit with you, for sure. I have wanted to go to Australia for years, so may actually make it some day! Conversely, if you and/or Glenn make it to Belize, our farm has lots of extra beds, you'd be welcome to visit here, as well. I invited Tullymoor, but she says she doesn't fly. She could catch a boat to the Panama Canal, take a left, pass through Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and into Belize, ya know... easy t'ing. This could be interpreted as an open invite to any and all a'yall in Oz to come visit. Our life is so isolated, and we love company. Even bad company generally makes an amusing story a month later... We have had several Aussie WWOOFers, and they further enhance the reputation Austalia has, reinforced by the quality of posters here. And, being partners in the commonwealth, Belize and Australia have a shared history, through England, which gave us democracy and tea time, though your ended up driving on the wrong side of the road. Anyway, we still have the Queen on the money, do you? How about a Governor General, and the Privy Council? We still have that!....... (Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise while Dave the Anarchist Chicken and the Swine Yard Worms do their rendition of God Save the Queen... I will ask that you all remain standing at your seats. Pigs attempting to stage dive will be converted to ribs and sausage. Thank you.....) (Elvis impersonator: "Thank you, Fran, thank you very much"..) Oh yes, this post started out about chooks and ducks. Looks like we all caught that flue going around, first identified by Dr. Frosty, Contagious Digressive Disease.... luckily, I don't think ducks or chooks can catch it. C
I think your's, Christopher would be a great mind to pick regarding systems and energy, not to mention music and food - two things that are also close to Glenn and my hearts Equally I suspect it would be wonderfully interesting to visit and perhaps offer a hand in all that you are doing in Belize, thank you for your invite. Yes, we still have the Queen on our money and a Governor General, we do not have access to the Privy Council though, the Australian High Court is our final court of appeal - New Zealand still does and I suspect that this is part of the pact made with the Mouri people - perhaps Australia not having access is due to the Australian Aboriginal not having the same privileges or perhaps rights in the government's (or dare I say our societies') view...but perhaps this is where my symptoms of the dreaded CCD will emerge so I will move on  Cheers, Fran.
