You'll have to let us know all about it - looks like a lovely event to immerse yourselves in.

Well made the 5 hour trip over to Adelaide, and after a quiet couple of bevies Friday night, was ready to go to the expo, to go learn shit..

Rocked up, and there was a little A$ sign saying it had moved to a race course.... No idea,,, So Cab it was...

Got there and it realy did leave me a litle dissapointed. The Go Organic Expo Sustainabilty Fair, had tunred into a bit of a farmers market,,, With people selling there wares... I thought EXPOS were for presenting stuff and show off new products etc etc... Not for flogging off exsisting products, and World vision sponsorships..

There was one little stand for Permiculture which had acouple of books for sale, and were really only interested in signing you up for a South Australian Permiculture membership (Which didn't apply to me as I live in Victoria..) So after having a quick look around, I went to leave...

I had a quick look at the speakers list as I was walking out, and noticed David Holmgren speaking in 15min.... YAY Listening to Daciv for the next hour salvaged what I was begining to think a waste of fuel to get to Adelaide. His talk was a fairly broad coverage about "What is Permiculture ?" He spoke about how the the world oil supplies have peaked and how a new source of energy and better use of energy is needed now, not when it is to late.
He spoke of an example, how Asia have the infrustuctor to recieve imported natural gas say from Australia if oil was to become un-available, how ever the US do not have any such thing in place.

He could spoke for another hour but was hurried off after his 45min...

I decided not to head down to the conference centre for the IFOAM, as I wanted to leave it at that high...

Now it is back home and searching for that right place... Then I can get started.. :)

Bummer to hear that it wasn't so good Dan. Seems everyone is just out to try and make money nowadays.
