Hi Tegs, i'm not sure if you got my pm. i'm still trying to figure out the forum functions. I'd love to get some ice cream bean seeds from you. i'm in brisbane, where abouts are you? do you have paypal? i'll be too happy to pay for the postage..
Yes the tree is covered in pods so there are more than enough seeds to go around! Sorry for the tardy replies I have been unable to get home due to the flooding in our area at the moment (I live in central Queensland). But all is fine now. Kirk, I m happy to post the seeds anywhere but I am unsure about quarantine ect.
I'm glad you are safe. California tends to be strict about importing plants, but that is only for agricultural crops and their relatives (namely citrus, pecans, and stone fruit like peaches), so ice cream bean should be fine. I will post my address on your profile. Thanks! P.S. Do the beans really taste like ice cream?
hey tegs I recieved the beans you sent me!! thanks for that. They arrived abit moldy so i broke one apart and found that the seed had already started to germinate. I quickly stuck it into the ground. Thanks again for your generosity, not many like you around anymore. i'll return the favor one day, somehow..
Tegs thank you I received my seeds today too. They are a bit moldy too, I will pop them in a pot, because I can't get them in their right position for a few weeks. Thank you again. I'll let you know how they go. And I'll return the favour down the track when I have something interesting that you would like to try from me. Kerri
Ice Cream Bean Seeds - Thanks Tegs, I got mine a few days ago - thanks. Most of them have started sprouting, so I'll have to plant straight away. To save the seed in future, just for your knowledge, extract the seeds from the flesh when they are ripe, and dry them out completely on paper towels. They can then be stored in airtight packets for future use. Greatly appreciated!
Looking for ice cream bean seeds Hi, if you still have ice cream bean seeds available, I would be keen to get a couple. Please let me know how much you want to post them and a bank account number and I'll deposit the amount in your account. Thanks! Robert

Hi, Are there still seeds left? If so, please let me know how much postage it is costing you to send to other parts of Oz, and I'll send you stamps in advance. We live in W.A. Regards Lindy and Gary
Sorry for my lack of reply so far. It has been a weird season for the ice cream bean this time around. I got half a dozen pod off the tree in November and thought that was it but is flowering like crazy and starting to put on more pods at the moment. I think it is because of all the rain. If you are still interested I will put some seeds aside and post them to you when they are ready. I'm not interested in being paid for the seeds or postage, maybe you could send something in return? I will post on this thread again when the seeds are ready.
