how to sharpen a serrated knife blade in 90 seconds

    Wow, that's fast.

    And I had no idea that sharpening a blade could be that fast!

    When I saw he was gonna just use the rag wheel buffer, I thought it was gonna be lame, but the knife went from useless to razor sharp!

    I have two questions:

    1) what is he talking about when he says "wire edge"?

    2) what does he keep doing by running the blade on the wood every ten seconds or so?

    Hi Paul,
    answer 1. Wire edge or feather edge is a tell-tale filament of honed steel on the flat side of the blade.
    Serrated blades are like a Japanese single bevel blades, the beveled side is honed and
    2, the filament is wiped off on the wood. These blades are super sharp.

    1-I think the "wire edge" is when you sharpen one side till you get an even burr along the length on the opposite side of the blade
    2-running the knife along the timber would remove that burr.
    cool vid I never thought of using a buffing wheel to sharpen.
