After three weeks of forgetting to put my rubbish bin out, I checked it this week (empty again ... ) .

Anyway, I realized that I trudge out to the backyard worm bathtub farms, with a heavy bucket of fermented scraps, far more often than I have rubbish.

So, I'm curious. How much scraps does your houshold kitchen generate?

For the worm composter.. I really should empty it once a day into the worm bin.

The rest of the waste.. about once every 2 to 3 months it gets removed.

we only generate the wrapping that won't rot for teh garbage collection could easily get away with a once a month instead of weekly clear(we do every second week, truck still drives past), all our rottable scrap goes direct to teh garden where our worms are.

Not much really. Just bits and pieces of veges and fruits that goes in the compost, buried under the garden or thrown in and around the banana trees.

Maybe 3 cups per day, which go to worms or worms and chickens, depending on the scraps. 2 people in household.

What's the question? How much food scraps come out of the kitchen (presumably to the garden)? I live on my own and I fill a 20L bucket about once every ten days I think. Probably more in the summer.

2 litres most days to the worms or compost.
Bones and fat get burnt in the next fire when cooking and then the ash and charcoal go in the garden.
About a grape fruits size of non composting in the bin every week ,plastics and other packaging.(truck comes weekly, neighbours use my bin too as there's is always overflowing)
Recycle bin is mainly empty screw top wine bottles,I keep the champagne bottles for when I make my own wine.
