I have not been on this forum for a while. My wife and I bought 42 acres in South Central Virginia. I am currently working in Cental Virginia about 100 miles away. We are probably about 2 or3 months away from moving to our farm house, that needed alot of love. Its been hard to work full time and renovate a house 100 miles away and tend to my family's needs. I just keep showing up. I took December off for mental health. I'm back on it though. Making lots of local contacts and working future barter deals. Building a barn this summer out of used telephone poles and recycled lumber. Designing my first 10 acre orchard with swales and all. Anyway I will try and post more. I will be blogging once I get down there. Just keep growing.

Wow welcome A busy (hectic?) life. Tell me more about Virginia. All I know is you are part of the south and were one of the first US states. What is the climate like? What sorts of plants grow/are grown around you?
