Can you please help? My whole garden is full of mealie bugs, and consequently ants..... they are ravaging my garden. Please, any advice is welcome. Just for information, I'm in Southern Africa, and at the moment it is extremely hot for three months on end and absolutely desert-like dry. Thanks!

If you can get food grade DE and dust the plants (on both sides of the leaves and the whole stem) you can at least control the numbers. Lady bugs are good at eating them too. Another method that has worked for me is spraying them with vegetable oil. One more is using soapy water and a cloth to wipe them off then sink them to the bottom of the pail of soapy water. Last ditch is Nicotine water used as a spray.
