Hi all, My name is SOP, which stands for Standard Operating Procedure (a remnant from a previous employ). I do have another name but only people that PM me will ever find it out. I live and work in Brisbane with a young family. I like trees and am so passionate about them that it makes non-tree people cringe. I'm not educated or well-read, my time is precious and I constantly feel like I'm battling uphill. I'm happy, very happy and don't think (fingers crossed) that will ever change. Things have changed since I posted last, we bought another property which has quadrupled my botanical workload due to an increase of grassed space and a lack of large-scale techniques and tools available to me. Unfortunately, my photo blogging has suffered and with a change in direction, the garden that I worked on the most has gone into disrepair. Disrepair means dry and lacking plants and nutrients. Not to say that I have lost any passion, far from it. Regarding the new property, I do like to share and by posting random photos of anything, surely someone out there may learn something or provide me feedback to improve on my ideas. Unfortunately, the people that surround me are .... private and I do not want to offend the easily offended. If you want to learn about it, PM me and I will share some pics and I'll ask you not to share online until I decide which way I'm going to go. I don't know, look at this fella. Just look at him! Visible from our bedroom window, doesn't appear to have moved for nearly a month now. I assume it heads out during the night. At least it's not raining...

Waiting patiently. At some point I will google how long they sit on them for. This year has been excellent for bird life, especially on the southern-side garden. I've taken a couple of photos but the neighbourhood birds are really flocking to the place now. Neighbour estimated at least 50 Galahs the other day in the Acacia fimbriatas.
That is so beautiful. You know SOP if you gave up your job I reckon you could make it as a photographer. cheers A
