Happy Birthday to the lovely and very beautiful Eco. Your a special lady. Hope you had a great day my friend
Awww shucks…. Thanks guys. It means a lot to me to be remembered. You did better than many of my non-virtual friends. I celebrated with lunch with my mum and a henna session. Last night I went and listened to Nicole Foss and David Holmgren speak and hung out with permie people who understand that there are limits to growth and that growing stuff in your backyard is an essential act of rebellion. And had 2 cats sleep in my bed to keep me warm once I got home. Lovely!
Thanks songbird. While my henna lasts I reckon it's still birthday season. And its hanging in there just.
i know very little about henna other than it seems to be a temporary dye used to decorate the skin (is it always reddish?). i'd assume it's a natural dye from either fruit or sap, but where the plant grows (assuming hot and wet like parts of India). i'm all ears. : )
Happy Birthday to you, we all live in our own zoos with climbing vines, and dogwoods, & once again happy birthday to you. annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd many more!
Songbird it is a brown paste which gets piped on like icing, and stains your skin brown - until the skin cells wear off that is. It is indeed a plant. It has a wonderful earthy smell. Having it applied forces you to sit still and have someone pay attention to making art with your skin - which is rather a nice experience! And thanks for the tune Pak (and Ben…).
