    Afternoon all,

I have just got an allotment patch an I am eager to see what animals I can keep (e.g. bees, chickens) that I can look after the best I can whilst they are helping to look after me.

Any good book recommendations out there?

    Many thanks,

    Samuel

Hi! I would say the best bet is to get to your local library and see what is on offer. There are thousands of books on keeping domestic animals and bee keeping. Your library may have a selection that are relevant to your country/region as well as more general offerings. Also be sure to check what your allotment zoning council regs allow you to keep on your patch and what structures can be built. (If it is urban or peri-urban there may be restrictions) Are you living off-site at the moment? If, so how often can you get there? Which animals are you currently considering keeping?
