Has anybody tried to raise Pheasants as livestock? We live in a cold climate is this a problem? Do they mix easily with chooks? Are there any other game birds we could consider?

    Re: Game Birds

My wifes old and now departed Uncle Ted used to run a flock of Guinea Fowl with an assortment of chooks, ducks and geese and had no problems with them getting on together. He ran about 30 guinea fowl on a couple of acres with a dam out at Caboolture and they where free range but penned at night. He used to sell them to a couple of resturants in Brisbane in the early 90's. I have no knowledge of pheasants so I can't help you there.
