    I thought this was a great article relating the functionality of ecosystems (natural or designed) to their value as opposed to value based merely on ever-increasing production figures.

    Thanks for this. I been telling people for years that certain things should be done without consideration of it being profitable, but more because it's the right thing to do. Accomplishing positive things does not have to translate as instant gratification by means of profit. But ultimately the real profit will reveal it some years down the road.
