My crop of tomato plants were hit with frost last night :( . We have been talking about building a protective cover and even have bought the posts - but just haven't done it yet. DAMN.

The beds are 3*3 metres and are raised. Can anyone suggest frost protection that may work? We we thinking about building a removable greenhouse type arangement that we can lift off the bed in the day. We don't know what material to cover it with. Also do the sides have to come right down to the ground?

Also the tomato plants all have shrivelled leaves on the top, is there anyway to save them? Cut off the bad bits maybe??? :?

Tere are things called, um, "cold frames" (I foget, I live in tropics), that are like boxes with glass lids that allow heat in, and retain the heat in the night. Those work, I am told.

    Good luck!
