    Hi Daz

Glad to hear you are on the mend! Good news about the ducks. bit surprised to hear zarbelles wanted to charge $5 a bird when they only charged me $2. But I had 14 ducks so maybe cheaper the more you have done.

I don't have any ducks any more. Wild dogs took a toll by killing a couple and all the ducklings. I didn't have the heart to take the mums off the eggs when I got the others dressed. But the dogs come down from Mount mee and are wild around here, so no animals for me at the moment. I like them to free range and that is impossible at the moment.

Rest up, the gardens will wait.

    take care
    Annette

Sorry to hear about the wild dogs getting them :(

If it was me .. i'd be setting traps for em ... but then i M like that .. i love animals.. but i dont like feral animals ...
Did you make a complaint about it to the councils animal control? or are they as slack and dont do squat???

I hope you can make an enclosure for them and go down the duck path again .. :)
I wont be .. lol.. not until we move to acreage ... :)

mrs duck here has gone off the lay so we are just getting chook eggs for the moment...
but her eggs were very tastey whilst they lasted :) ... made very delish badon n egg sangers :)

Hey all, just a quick update .. still only the 2 ducks, no more eggs, but am wondering if the black n white one we kept is a drake, as when there's fresh water in their tub, it goes ballistic and chases the mum around and I am sure i caught sight of him mating with her ..
That's really about it for me, we were going to move, and still could, so my animals are limited to the ones we have (except for being offered a couple more chooks from a friend who is moving) .. for now ;)
