Old soldiers don't need to watch a telly docco to know this sort of stuff, mate. It's pretty easy to put two and two together... "Well, if it were going to last forever, then why do they keep sending us to fight over it?" Plus soldiers have lots of experience of being lied to about where they're going and what for. Returned servicemen don't need to watch, just the lifelong civvies who nodded along with the telly going, "yeah, definitely those WMD, and that terror stuff, that's why we're going, definitely."
