    Dear Knowledge,

On average what does it cost to forest 10 acres?

Thank you for your reply. I will like your response when I have read it. Post if I have questions. I may do a group post at the end. My goal in doing this is because I treasure our time. Thank you.

May every experience you have, bring you life,
    Grace

never done it, as much as you want to spend, since it is largely a
matter of time here, any bare area left alone will eventually end up
forested due to the seeds from poplars, remaining seeds in the
    ground and such.

so free to thousands of $ if you want certain trees and have to
    irrigate each one.

in Pheonix area. left alone depends upon surrounding trees,
water sources, what you want to plant and keep watered until
    established.

what will grow there natively? are you looking to plant certain
trees and keep them watered? do you have volunteer help?

in the heat i would guess the better time to plant would be in
the fall, but perhaps the monsoons are enough rain there? i
sure would not want to be up against those conditions. 120F
and any breeze would be very tough to keep a tree going
when it is young (or any other time for that matter).

but perhaps you are asking about some other location???

    Hi Grace,
Songbird asks some good questions for context.
Here's some info from Phoenix Parks & Recreation about their urban forest and a contact that may be of assistance (if you haven't already found this): https://www.phoenix.gov/parks/parks/urban-forest
Also a short video about a backyard mango/fruit forest:
