You share in the 'Hello from South Carolina' thread, and thankfully I'm subscribed and haven't missed too much. It's basically become Eco's blog too.

Good to see that you sorted your issues and now I'm wondering if your ID of my worms was off. Since my population explosions, most have settled down to be a standard looking worm, if not all Red Wrigglers (Indian Blues too?) and they are doing the business, like clockwork. I've expanded into another bathtub at another property, and these worms aren't fed and are just surviving off their bedding of horse manure. I've got to consider what would be best for a 'permaculture-y feed' for them, maybe a mix of leaf litter and grass clippings at times just to give them something to digest than their own bacteria.

I'm really glad that the business is doing well. Well done.

The Indian Blues have a purple head and a blue stripe up the sides. They are really fast movers, much faster than the Reds. The Blues will up and leave at the drop of a hat so unless you have escape proof boards around the top they will leave. You will find that the Reds will out breed them as what happened with my first lot I bought. I eventually found the missing Blues in my compost bin about 10 metres away from the side of my shed where they were.. Having said that they are also native to Australia so they could have appeared naturally but my money is on the fact that they escaped.

I felt like such a goose when I realised my mistake but that is behind me now so it on onwards bound. I am thinking of looking into European Night Crawlers as they are also a good fishing worm but the time frame to grow them out seems to take some time. There was a lady down in Victoria that came on the Worm Expert Forum looking for ideas how to grow them out faster. I will push ahead one step at a time and once the Africans are established I will look at the Euro's.

Yes I know and it maybe lost forever too. I paid to take over the hosting back in December as before I paid the lady who set it up who co hosted with a host company. She went out of hosting so I just stayed with the same company. Well it turns out they never switched it over and it just stayed on the same account till it expired last Thursday. First I knew was when it was gone.

I have just had a huge lesson in websites and hosting etc. I also don't appear to own the Domain Name as it wasn't registered in my name. I know nothing of all this stuff. I am hoping that the site can be recovered or it will spell the end of Brian's Worms. I cant afford to set it up again and right at a time I hit my best sales ever I lose the site. A good sign is the Host Tech " Parked "the site last night so I am hoping it is still there. My email I use for this site stopped working when they Parked the site. Till then it was still running.

Hey thank you for looking as it is good to know people did use the site even if they didn't buy worms. Tomorrow I will be happy or shattered. I love what I do so it will be a huge blow to give it up. I will keep you updated.

If you have backup files and the domain can be reregistered I can register and host it for you for 12 months for $$50. The ridiculous prices some companies charge is just a rip off.

    Hello Eric,
If the site is gone then thats it. I didn't know that it can be backed up till it was offline. I saw that on my cPanel for the account. I have saved the logos and some written stuff in My Documents but no actual website. If the site is still there no problem as I have paid for 12 months. The Domain name l believe is up for renewal in July.
I didn't hear from the Tech Support last night so l am still in the dark. Surely they would have told me if the site is gone as there is no point in moving it to a different server as the chap said needed to happen first up. This was done yesterday so l was hoping for good news this morning.

    Hello Eric,

Just an update. My battle with Just Host continues and I am no further advanced with them. I signed up with Dream Host on the recomendation of the lady who built my site. She has very kindly re loaded the template I originally had for my site. I just need to keep on her good side lol. The problem now is depending on when I click on the link to my site I mostly get the Just Host page. I am trying to get this stopped. This has been a stressful 2 weeks with my hernia operation then the site going down.

I am re loading the content that I had saved as best I can. It will be work in progress for a while. I really need the Paypal buttons back on asap so I have to work out how to do this. I can't follow the Wordpress tutorials as I just don't understand it. Some of the pictures will be on hold for a bit too.

I got an email today from a chap who has been using the site and wondered where it went, so people are looking which is great.

Just be careful with Wordpress. Its a good platform but I had several of my blogs hacked so i'm transferring them to html sites. A slow and draining process. If the server has a good security history its generally not too bad.

When adding things in Wordpress apart from main content, you are working mostly with Widgets... The "Text" widget is usually the most common for input stuff, links, etc.

Yes I hope so. I was on such a high when it went down then I couldn't get any lower. One good thing is I have learnt a lot from the experience and I am now updating the site mostly myself. I even set up the Ordering Page AND did the Paypal buttons. Wasn't smart enough before lol. I am going to back it up asap to ensure it is safe.

I had people who I have never heard of contact me to let me know it was down so that is good that people are looking. Thats what it is about, Share the Knowledge oh and get rich lol.

Red wrigglers are all over the world now. It all should have been stopped 200 years ago. Many of the composting worms have sensitive skin and are unsuitable for soil. My little contribution is a mere speck in the ocean.:(

Thank you Eric. Do you feel like doing a dummy run to test if my PayPal buttons are working? I just need someone to order 20lt of worm castings for $20 then I can just refund the money. Ordering the lowest value item just mean I pay less PayPal fees.

Eric my two usual sources of information seem to be missing in action lol. I am trying to find a Plug In I suppose that allows me to put Links to other sites on mine over on the right hand side. I just think it is good to support other sites that have supported me, like this one.
    Thanks if you can help.:clap::clap:

Hi Brian, You need to start with a text widget where you put in the html code for a link...

For a text link (remove the *'s):

    Text Here

For an image link (the image needs to be hosted on a server):

Is this what you meant ?
