Having read about how great azolla is for feeding various animals I established some in a small pond near the chooks. When it had spread to cover the whole pond I sccoped some out and gave it to the chooks. They weren't impressed. The articles I read were about azolla meal but I had hoped I wouldn't have to go to the bother of drying and grinding the azolla. Has anyone had any sucess in getting chooks to eat it fresh? Would it be better if I put it in their water bowl?
You can lead your chooks to azolla... but can you make them eat? ;-) Sorry. I wouldn't have a clue, actually. Maybe you could lay it out to dry and then feed it to them. That's what I would try, anyhow. Davo
