I live in an apartment complex, and due to a friendly land manager can plant what i like. On the north side there is a strip that once housed weeds and compacted clay that i have planted with some hardy winter greens, and i am wondering what else the forum would recommend as good shade tolerant perennials. I live in central Mississippi, USA(hot and humid summers, mild winters with occasional freezes). I found some things, but I know there are likely to be dozens more, some quite possibly better suited to the situation.

Pipsissewa gets my vote for favourite new word. I think I will be using it in reference to all sorts of things totally unrelated to the plant :)
