I´m permaculturing in the algarve beneath a one acre citrus orchard. Sub tropical weather here almost, so too hot for raspberries I was thinking. Strawberries I already have elsewhere. Can anyone recommend a berry that would do well in this situation, as a shrub or understory to citus. Would be a great help...

blueberries - they are grown on the sunshine coast of australia - much more sub tropical than the algarve

there's an australian native raspberry that is sub to very tropical and would cope with the heat

Superb, thanks for your help! Any idea what the name of that Australian native raspberry is... so I can get seed?
