I´m permaculturing in the algarve beneath a one acre citrus orchard. Sub tropical weather here almost, so too hot for raspberries I was thinking. Strawberries I already have elsewhere. Can anyone recommend a berry that would do well in this situation, as a shrub or understory to citus. Would be a great help...
Re: berries beneath oranges.... blueberries - they are grown on the sunshine coast of australia - much more sub tropical than the algarve there's an australian native raspberry that is sub to very tropical and would cope with the heat
Re: berries beneath oranges.... Superb, thanks for your help! Any idea what the name of that Australian native raspberry is... so I can get seed?
