australorps

Discussion in 'Planting, growing, nurturing Plants' started by Tanya Cameron, Sep 24, 2005.

  1. I am living at Belli Park near Eumundi and Kenilworth on the Sunshine Coast Qld. Do you know of any australorps for sale up this way, they are hard to locate.

    Cheers Tanya

    Tanya,

The Australorp Club of Australia is located in QLD. If you were to contact Ross Summerell [email protected]

I contacted him when I was looking for my Australorps and he was very helpful.

Dan the man, here's a list of Australorp breeders in Victoria.

I'm afraid they're rather hard to come by, good ones that is. I've taken almost 6 years to source my breeding stock and get where I am now. You'll probably find that anyone with show stock like mine, won't sell them, but if you're only after them for backyard purposes, you should be able to get some pretty easily.

Keep an eye on the weekly times and trading post. There are many people who sell 'australorps' of questionable parantage but perfectly suitable as a utility bird.

Vince Nicoletti is currently advertising Australorps in the Weekly Times so he should have some stock available. My first Rooster was from him and he was a very good type but I don't know what he's got at the moment.

Let me know if you want day olds or fertile eggs as there are heaps of adds in the Australasian Poultry magazine.
