Just the Aussies following (as usual) the Yanks:

Re: Abbott meeting with the Defence mob and his likelihood of discussing climate science and the threat human induced climate change poses to 'domestic and global security': Nah, probably not:

We can’t conclusively say whether man-made carbon dioxide emissions are contributing to climate change.
Quoted in "A Realist’s Approach to Climate Change" (27 July 2009)

I am, as you know, hugely unconvinced by the so-called settled science on climate change.
Quoted on "ABC 7.30 Report" (27 July 2009)

It seems that, notwithstanding the dramatic increases in manmade CO2 emissions over the last decade, the world's warming has stopped.
Quoted in "2009 Australia's second warmest year ever, according to Bureau of Meteorology figures" in the Herald Sun (5 January 2010)

Interesting article. So what about the soil in Brazil?

Next shoe to drop is ripping out all the citrus orchards to be replaced with sugar cane?

More like followers following the followers.

Sounds like a vicious cycle to me.

Who is Brazil following? Maybe we can cut out the middle man and all follow the same idiot?
Surely Abbott will be talking about sending troops to Syria.

I seem to be missing something from the Syria debate. Why is it so much worse to use chemical weapons? Are we saying that it is completely OK to drop bombs on children but you can't spray them with acid? Did I miss something? Have bombs changed and now rain down with fragrant flower petals and candy?

Maybe the chemical giants are cranky because countries are using their own chemicals to make these weapons and they wish to corner the market.

Am I really that cynical!? Nah, but I'm not entirely not that cynical either - it wouldn't surprise me...
