    Dear friends,

I read about aphids and its natural predators like Ladybirds and Aphidius rosae.

Any idea if these bugs could be bought if missing in your garden?

    Cheers,

    Antonino

Ladybirds and parasitic wasps can usually be bought at or through garden supply centers. Ask if you need to put in an advance order. They tend to be only available at certain times of the year.

they can be bought, but an easier way is to provide variety in your planting so that they have feed and shelter plants as well as the aphids to feed off...... it's the larva of the ladybird that eats the aphids so you need to provide pollen plants for the adult to feed off

or use soapy water to get rid of the aphids

I recommend you walk around your plants each day and check for ants - if you see ants follow them to the reason they are on your plants - scale or aphids - they farm both

for aphids warm soapy water will do the trick - splash it onto the site of the aphids or squash in your fingers

if its scale - make a little bit of white oil - - tablespoon of olive oil, splash of dishwashing liquid, litre of water and spray on the scale insect...
